This is a very festive drink! Our sons were offered these at a family-friendly pub we visited recently and they were super-impressed! Am recreating it here using the method the bartender taught me. It’s a bit fiddly to make and sugary as all hell but fun nonetheless. Ingredients: Orange juice Raspberry cordial Green food colouring […]

This is simple with only two ingredients and a couple of garnishes but even the simple act of combining two liquids over ice and adding a slice of lemon can feel very treaty! Tonic is sweet but it has a tart edge thanks to the quinine in it. Ingredients: Fruit juice Tonic water Ice cubes Lemon slices Method: * Put […]

Blackcurrant Toddy

Friday 14 Jul, 2017, 2:21pm by Mrs D 1 comment

Very cold here in New Zealand right now and I have sick boys in the house, so just made this delicious warming concoction for us all to share. I actually got the recipe from a Barker’s of Geraldine booklet and used their blackcurrant fruit syrup as well. You could substitute with any blackcurrant syrup if […]

Coconut mango smoothie

Friday 23 Jun, 2017, 10:10am by Mrs D Share your ideas

This would make a delicious breakfast drink or afternoon tummy filler. I like my smoothies quite thick but if you’d rather have it runnier just add some water. Also, you can substitute the coconut/almond milk for any milk of your choice.
