Mexican Limeade

January 25th, 2025 Drink of the Week

Mexican-Limeade2

This was a bit messy to make but worth the effort – it’s really tart and delicious! You can play around with the amounts, there’s no exact science here.

Ingredients:

6-10 lemons or limes (I used lemons)
3 cups water
4 cups lemonade (I used Sprite Zero)
1/4 cup powdered lemonade or sugar (I used Lime Raro)

Method:

Wash the lemons/limes and trim the ends
Put them in a blender with the water and blitz until completely pulverised. Yes – put the entire lemon in and blitz!
Strain through a sieve into a jug. This was messy, I used my hands to squash the mixture through the sieve and had a dish underneath to catch the overflow.
Add the lemonade and powdered lemonade/sugar.
Serve with ice.

Enjoy!
